At WORD bookstore on Tuesday at 7, Emily Carter, the author of our December pick Glory Goes and Gets Some, will make a rare New York appearance, in conversation with her cousin Marco Roth. Roth is an n+1 founder and the author of a forthcoming memoir, The Scientists: A Family Romance.

Carter will read and they will talk (presumably) about writing and their family.

You should really go to this event if you have any interest in writing or families.

I was up very late last night reading Glory Goes and Gets Some. It has an affecting way about it… like it made me feel unsafe? As if all my little comforts and constructs became transparent and I was therefore more vulnerable than ever? I checked that my front door was locked before going to bed. This is a compliment. Cannot wait for tomorrow’s event.
